Children write their name in block letters vertically in the centre of the page. They then write a word beginning with each letter. Alternatively the letters of the name can appear in the middle of the words. Words must be spelt correctly. Students can have a free choice of vocabulary or can be given a specific category of words – adjectives to describe themselves perhaps?
