Difficult Favourites Print
Each student has a small card. On one side they write a ‘favourite’ English word, and on the other a word they find difficult for some reason (meaning, spelling, pronunciation). They then circulate and guess which is which and why words are favourite or difficult.

The words are then written in two lists on the board (by the teacher or the students) and everyone works together to practise the difficult words until they become easy. Finally students work in pairs to create and read out a sentence containing as many of the words on the board as possible.
